Last week me, mom and dad went for a day trip to Abu Dhabi. We felt like we really wanted to see the capital of the United Arab Emirates and because it's fun to go on roadtrips. I recorded a vlog from the whole day in Abu Dhabi that I will be posting within 2 weeks! We started the day by visiting the Grand Mosque Sheikh Zayed, which is a must when traveling to Abu Dhabi. The mosque was so beautiful and big. All women needed to cover up, so we borrowed Abayas to wear in the mosque. However, it was so hot to go around with them!! A little selfie I took with mom in our blue abayas. After we were done at Sheikh Zayed mosque, we went to Emirates Palace, which is a really luxurious hotel where Sex and the City has been recorded. I had to take a real touristy picture. If you have seen Fast and Furious 7, you'll definitely recognize the buildings behind me. We decided to stay and take an ice cream/coffee at Emirates Palace before heading to our next stop. I ordered an ice cream with 23K gold (hahah how crazy?!?), and dad ordered a capuccino with 23K gold as well. You'll see more about it in the vlog ;) This is how satisfied I was with my ice cream. When the golden ice cream + cappuccino was finished, we went to the restaurant Vasco's for a lunch. During vacay it's allowed to eat ice cream before lunch. Don't you agree? ahah! Our last stop was the Louvre, it recently opened in Abu Dhabi. Very beautiful art from Greece and the old Roman Empire. Always fun to do something a bit more cultural if you ask me. And that was our day trip to Abu Dhabi! I absolutely loved it. I wouldn't mind spending some more time there actually. ♥ n
