What do you do for a living? Can you explain a bit more? This is a question I get really often!! So I thought it was time to answer the question. Be prepared for an extremly long post. Let's go! When someone asks me what I do for a living I always answer that I work full time with my social medias. Such as my blog, instagram and youtube. I always add "I work full time" because then people don't tend to ask me what I work with for real except blogging. And yes blogging is a real job. As I said, I work full time with my social medias. Mostly blog, Youtube, Instagram but also Twitter and Instagram Story. I started blogging at the age of 10, but I started earning money on blogging at the age of 14. So I've done this for a pretty long time. My job is basically to be active on social medias. You could say that I'm a journalist and photographer in one. I write a lot of content for my blog and I take pictures of almost everything in my life hahah. I try to update my blog twice a day, Instagram 1-3 times a day and my Youtube channel twice a week. It's a lot of work being an influencer. Even though many believes it's an easy job. I take a fixed salary every month from my own company. So even though I earn more money some months and less money some months I always have the same salary. There's many different ways on how to earn money being an influencer. First I earn money on banners (that you have on your blog), how much I earn on them it's based on my traffic. Then when I post something on IG/YT/Blog that says "In collaboration with xxx" I get paid. But I earn mostly of my money from big exklsuive campaigns as I do right now with Puma and Glitter. Then I earn money on affiliate links, ads before my YT-videos and then I earn some money when I model and when I do small acting parts as I do quite often. Just like in any job, there are both negative and positive sides with being an influencer. The negative side about being an influencer is that I don't have any fixed hours. So you could actually say that I work all day long. I don't complain but I just wanna make you understand that there is negative sides with every job. I always need to be online, some days I work 12-14 hours a day and then some days I just work 2 hours. But I have to work every single day. Weekends, new years eve, my birhtday, christmas and so on. I can't just take 3 weeks vacation as many "normal" people do. Then I take photos of almost everything I do (now I'm used to it, but bringing a big camera everywhere is quite annoying). To be an influencer means that I'm my own boss and run my own company. This means that unlike being an employee I have the change so get up when I want in the morning and decide what times I wanna have my meetings. I almost put all my meetings after 10.00 am because I'm not a morning person. Another thing that is very positive about being an influencer is that I can work from anywhere. I am not bound to be in Stockholm. I can be 3-4 weeks abroad without my job being affected. As long as I have a camera, computer and wi-fi, I'm ready to go. To be an influencer takes much more time when people think. I need to plan when all the posts need to come up, what I should write about and then I need to film and edit 2 videos a week (which can take up 12 hours), shoot outfits, plan collaborations, go on meeting, pass by showrooms to borrow clothes and so on. Being an influencer is so much fun but it's not as easy as people think! All my days are extremly various. No day lookes like the other. But usually I blog, go to meetings and shoot content for my blog and Instagram. Then sometimes I have a shoot 3 days in a row, then for example I'm going to Italy next week for a big job. I'm going to shoot, film and do a lot of different stuff during the 6 days I'm there. Except me being a blogger I help Self Omninutrition with their social medias! I just work with this from home and I mostly help them finding good people to collaborate with. And as a last thing I do is to work with Smack Mag. Smack Mag is an online magasin + blog platform. I have all the contact with our bloggers (they'll start in 2 weeks) and now I'm also a seller. I sell collaboration and banners. Then I make 4-5 articles a month for Smack. So that's what I do for a living. HUGS ♥
